Amol Telang
Amol Telang - Service Delivery Manager - Smoking Cessation & Non-Clinical
As a Service Delivery Manager working with the Non-Clinical team and the Smoking Cessation team, and providing support to priority populations of Māori and Pasifika, I feel most valued for the trust and responsibility entrusted on me to work on new projects that help improve the health and well-being of the people we serve. It’s also important to me to receive recognition for our team’s contributions and to have opportunities to learn and grow in our roles. Feeling supported by my colleagues and having a sense of belonging in the workplace are also key factors that contribute to feeling valued. Ultimately, I believe that feeling valued in our mahi comes down to having a sense of purpose and meaning in what we do as a team. When we’re able to see the impact of our work and how it contributes to the wider community, it makes us feel like we’re making a difference.
Ingrid Tan
Ingrid Tan - Deputy Director, Health Services
I enjoy leading the service and seeing the impact we have on ensuring that tangata whai ora can access health care from anywhere at anytime across Aotearoa. It is a privilege to help those that reach out to us when they need health advice and support, empowering them to lift their own health awareness.
Sue Larsen
Sue Larsen - Director, Mental Health Services
A quarter of New Zealanders currently have poor levels of mental and emotional wellbeing, including nearly a third of women, according to a recent study commissioned by the Mental Health Foundation (MHF). Being operational lead for the Mental Health services for the New Zealand Tele-Health service is both a privilege and daunting. Every day our experienced mental health team provides support to those during time of their greatest need, 24hrs a day, 365 days of the year across multiple lines - 1737, crisis mental health triage, mentoring services, family violence to name but a few. For me in my role this brings significant responsibility however knowing what a difference our services make to people who call us is hugely rewarding.
You can work from almost anywhere.

We have a workforce of over 500 clinicians, advisors and specialist staff who are working from their home offices, from Kaitaia to Bluff or are based at our contact centres in Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland, Te Whanganui-a-Tara /Wellington and Ōtautahi /Christchurch.
